Congratulations on your independence! Sandy Botkin, one of my adopted mentors, (Tax Reduction Institute) speaks of May 14 as independence day. He explains the average American wage earner works from January 1 to May 14 to fulfill his tax obligation to the government. That's virtually half the year!
July 4, on the other hand is our nation's celebration of our independence. Let's be truthful. How independent are you economically and financially?
Two weeks ago we made the prayerful commitment before God to launch TSR by no later than July 4. We commit ourselves before God to reveal to all interested how they can utilize for profit their resources in apparel with a view to attaining their independence. Join us.

- "How did you ever think of this idea" a friend asked recently. I told him of my early teen years when I was intrigued by "el contratista", "the contractor" in our farming community. It was a form of elitism among local farmworkers to work with "el contratista". I wondered, "Now, how does that work?" I knew he didn't own the land or the crops his "contract laborers" worked. Now, my past intrigue has taken on a passion for independent contractors. This in the truest sense, not as our government categorizes so-called "contractors" as in the countless apparel manufacturing sites so rapidly vanishing in America. So, what's my message on "Independent Contracting"? It is a legitimate business. It is how the individual can leverage tax law to their advantage. It is that when you create alliances, or networks, you multiply their efforts and revenues. Unlike "el contratista", my conviction is the Independent Contractor, as the one who does most of the work, deserves the greater portion of compensation. It's not a novel idea. It is a workable one. It is one which esteems and elevates the worth of the laborer, the Independent Contractor.
